Rams Head Inn - Dolton

It was reasonably priced. Had an absolutely amazing stay for a longer holiday, everything was lovely. The breakfast was more than adequate and massive and with superb sausages, the staff was excellent. The hotel was in a central location next on business trip in the area.

Exceptionally nice and absolutely perfect location just off Bideford and the restaurant, and very close to a nice garden. Units with a really good selection of hot drink sachets.

Charming Stay with Fabulous Service

Our two-night getaway in a beautiful queen room was good. The accommodating staff made everything smooth, especially during brunch which was like a cozy family gathering. Despite minor quirks in our room, the atmosphere and really good service were good.

Really good experience overall with friendly staff and a laid-back atmosphere. The fresh, eclectic British dishes offered in the restaurant were superb. While the rural setting adds charm, it may lack nearby amenities for those seeking more activity. Nonetheless, this tranquil environment perfectly suited our need for relaxation.

I enjoyed my stay, from the great meal of halibut to the beautiful walking opportunities just a few steps away at Moonacre Alpacas and Halsdon Nature Reserve. This place is perfect for weekend city strolls and discovering lovely landmarks.

The dinner each night was delicious, especially with Michelin-rated dishes crafted by the chef. My twin room was comfortable, quiet, and well-maintained, with good bathroom facilities. Breakfast options were excellent, I enjoyed a full English while my friend opted for porridge. The staff were friendly and chatty. I noticed that the bar didn't serve food or drinks on Sundays, which could be an inconvenience planning their meals. My experience was quite pleasant, and I'd recommend it for anyone looking for a characterful stay in Devon.

Perfect match for a brief sojourn in Dolton with best value. Enjoyed a fantastic Ox Tail Suet Pudding for dinner. Try to grab a pint of Guinness. It's one of the best.
